Carol D. (Sharp) Grau
January 31, 1970 - May 16, 2024
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Carol D. (Sharp) Grau, age 54, who peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in Newark, DE.
Born in Wilmington, DE on January 31, 1970, she was a daughter of Doris (Cleaver) Allen and the late Raymond Sharp. Carol graduated from Christiana High School in 1988, and later in life devoted herself to caring for her family as a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with family, walking outside and playing card games with family and friends.
In addition to her father, Carol is now reunited in heaven with her step-mom, Beverly Mahan; and step-dad, Arnold Allen. She is survived by her husband, Frederick Grau III; daughters, Catherine George and Raelyn Grau; brother, Raymond Sharp (Michelle); sisters, Beverly Bishop, Beth Willis (Billy), and Paula Wisneski; mother, Doris Allen; and her granddaughter, Audrey who she loved very much.
Family and friends are invited to a reception of light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres as we celebrate the life of Carol from 1 pm until 3 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Brookside Community Center, 900 Marrows Road, Newark, DE 19713, where a service will be held from 3 pm until 4 pm. The family requests that anyone attending the service wear casual clothing.

Fred and family we are so sorry for your loss. She was such a great person. I will keep her memories alive, very lovable, caring and funny We are going to really miss her. I now go in the Boscovs and go buy the candy. Please hoping to see her, but I know she’s not there anymore. Carol was a great person and would give you the clothes off her back. She was always talking about her family and loved working with her daughter so much. People still ask about her and are very saddened at her passing. She was loved and will be missed
