Carol L. Dolbow Pyle, age 75, of Newark, DE passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Born in Newark, DE on August 27, 1946, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Helen S. (Elwood) Dolbow. Carol worked in retail sales at J.C. Penney for many years. She enjoyed shopping, especially on QVC, taking trips to the beach, and listening to Elvis. Strong in her faith, Carol was a dedicated member of White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed working with people throughout her various roles in life. However, her favorite role was as a mother and grandmother (Mimi).

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her former husband, Ron Pyle; children, Wendy L. Johnson and Christopher R. Pyle; and granddaughter, Layla E. Pyle. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Pyle of Newark; her 7 grandchildren, Alison Johnson, Kristen Johnson, Bianca Pyle, Elise Pyle, Aiden Pyle, and Brody Tyndall Pyle; and her niece and nephew, Melissa Dolbow, and John Dolbow.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will begin at11 am. The family requests that masks be worn by all in attendance regardless of vaccination status. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
