She was a light in my life that I will never ever forget. Down to the ‘secret’ family recipes she gave me….she was a great lady and I will always miss her and her laughter and her secret desire for me to learn more about wine! But I did, I did that for her because when she wanted something it usually got done. Rest in Peace in the loving hands of our Lord Jesus Christ. Made He hold you close until we see each other again. My love always…..

Carol was a wonderful sister in law. She was a friend and confidant. She joined our family, which became hers. She was a pillar of support for all of us and did her best to keep in touch with us. She was family, a DUQUELLA. She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.

Marc, Andre, JP and Dr. Duquella, she will be missed. The Ruffo family’s thoughts and prayers are with you all. Truly an amazing lady. Her dedication to her family was second to none. When Marc and I were in high school I would often see here outside the front of the school working on the beautiful flowers. When we would change classes and I walked by the front hall, she had an uncanny way of knowing and would always look up from outside and wave hello. Always warm and welcoming to me into the Duqulla home and serving delicious food for dinner.

Carolann was a friend I had made because she I met her later in her life beautifying she and Jean’s wonderful townhouse on South Mountain division of Binghamton. I was so pleased to know her as first my customer and later a very good friend. She and I shared memories of our childhood, adult histories of how we both got to where we were and I just enjoyed her conversations. We would sometimes help or understand situations we were in and offer friendly advice and just listen. I enjoyed being able to assist her in her lighting selections and enjoyed some wonderful baked goods that she shared with me if I came to the townhouse to even check on the kind of LED bulbs she needed in her lighting fixtures. She had a true sense of interior design and made a beautiful home for both she and Jean. I would sometimes bring in some needed laughter when needed towards what was the end of living in Binghamton and moving away from there beautifully appointed home as this was a most scary time for Carolann and Jean as well. I will miss her Bostonian accent as I hear her in my head as I type this note and will miss calling her up to say hi and to check on she and Jean. Rest in peace and until we meet again! Your friend always, Andy

Jean, Jean Paul, Andre and Marc, I sent my heartfelt condolences. Your mother welcomed us with open arms when we came to the neighborhood. I have fond memories of my childhood investor, and your mom was at the center.

I’m so sorry Marc and family. Carolann (always Mrs Duquella to me since high school) lit up a room with her wit and big city nurse energy. She reminded me so much of my own mom, also a big city nurse. I can attest to her gift for interior decorating and cooking, I was lucky enough to visit with the Duquellas last year for an amazing dinner and lots of laughs. Rest in peace.
