Carolyn L. Lobozzo, age 84, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Born in Wilmington, DE on December 9, 1941, she was a daughter of the late John and Phyllis (Peterson) Maida. Carolyn made her career as a healthcare insurance coordinator until her retirement.
Carolyn enjoyed being a member of the St. Anthony’s Club as well as the Prince of Piedmont Lodge. She often looked forward to planning her next adventure, exploring new places and going on cruises. Carolyn loved to go dancing, and was especially talented at doing the jitterbug.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, John Lobozzo. She is survived by her children, Lisa Delle-Donne and Tom Lobozzo; grandchildren, Giuseppe, Giovanni, Samantha, Vincent, and Nicole; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 12 pm. Inurnment will be held privately.
