Charles H. Cook, age 84, of Townsend, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 10, 2023.

Born in Aberdeen, MD on November 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Herman Arthur and Ida Ruth (Denbow) Cook. Charles proudly served in the United States Army. He had an incredible work ethic that developed during his time working at Chrysler as an assembly worker.

Charles could often be found outside, he loved mowing his lawn and tending to his garden. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching western movies and shows.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Hill) Cook. He is survived by his son, Charles A. Cook (Deanna); daughter, Suzanne E. Cook; grandchildren, Dayla P. Cook and Hayden A. Cook; and close friends, George and Karen Miller.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 pm until 4 pm on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 4 pm. Interment will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

    We are truly sorry for the loss of the 🥰 father ! He was a decent lovely man! He was a hard dedicated working man and made sure he took care of his wife and his children! He sure had a great sense of humor! The Miller’s will miss you very much!
