Chester F. Ciesielski

Mr. Chester F. Ciesielski, age 69, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011.
Mr. Ciesielski was born in Reading, PA, on October 19, 1942, son of the late Chester W. Ciesielski and Helen Borawski Ciesielski. A gifted aircraft mechanic throughout his career, he was employed with Atlantic Aviation in New Castle from 1964 until 2001. He would go on to accept a position with Dassault Falcon, also in New Castle, where he retired in 2009.
Mr. Ciesielski was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church. In his leisure time, he greatly enjoyed both building and flying model airplanes and was an active member of the Cloud Kings R.C. Flying Club. He also enjoyed fishing.
A devoted family man above all else, Mr. Ciesielski was a loving husband, a proud father, and a caring grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Merle Chamberlain Ciesielski; sons, Brian Chester Ciesielski of South Williamsport, PA, and Joseph Daniel Ciesielski of New Castle; sisters, Carol Rissmiller of Laureldale, PA, and Christine Ulrich of Wernersville, PA; granddaughters, Ashley Gardner (Chad) of Williamsport, PA, Jolene Anne Ciesielski and Autumn Elaine Ciesielski, both of Orefield, PA; and great granddaughter, Emmaleah Nicole Gardner of Williamsport, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 23, 2011, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 300 E. Basin Road, New Castle, 19720, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Glebe Cemetery, New Castle.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Ciesielski may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church at the address above.
