Christopher A. “Chris” Bourne, age 17, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2021.

Born in Newark, DE on May 26, 2003, he was the son of Kimberly Bourne and the late Richard C. Bourne.

Chris was a student and lacrosse player for Appoquinimink High. He enjoyed watching sporting events, playing video games, skateboarding and hanging out with his MTV Sandlot Crew. Chris also liked fishing along with surfing, and loved spending time at the beach.

In addition to his mother, Chris is survived by his sister, Kaitlyn Bourne; paternal grandmother, Darlene Bourne; maternal grandparents, Ray and Lynn Burns; an aunt and uncles; girlfriend, Julia Jones; and canine companion, Cali.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm on Monday, March 1, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street. Middletown, DE, followed by a private service at 12:30 pm. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. Interment will also be held privately.
