  • Just learned of Chris’s passing. My sincere condolences to the Mench family. Chris was a good friend through some hard times for both of us. One humorous memory; on my 40th birthday many years ago, Chris made a tee time for us at Brantwood. At about the 14th hole he said that he was getting tired and would I mind if we quit. I said no problem so we drove the cart to his car and then he asked me the time and maybe we should just sit for a few minutes and drink a beer in honor of my birthday; as he was feeling better. We had the beer and then drove off separately. Upon arriving home, I walked into a surprise BD party for me arranged by my wife Susan. Chris came in a few minutes later. He was part of the rouse to keep me away while Sue was getting ready for the party. Stopping golf early and then sitting in the parking lot was Chris’s way of sticking to the timetable set by him and my wife. I could tell many stories of good times we had as friends and colleagues at the Cecil County Schools. Unfortunately we drifted apart when I moved to PA and now FL. RIP Chris.

  • Just learned of his passing.I knew him from little league where he had the respect and admiration of all that knew him!
