Daniel Brasure, Sr.
October 3, 1949 - July 3, 2026
Mr. Daniel Brasure, Sr., age 76, of Bear, Delaware, passed away at his son’s home in Jonesborough, TN, on Friday July 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Harryย and Nancy Clyde Brasure, born in Wilmington, Delaware on October 3, 1949.
Daniel was a plant manager for Dupont where he retired after working over 40 years. He loved to play golf, vacation in Aruba, and watch the Eagles and the Phillies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Helen J. Brasure, and his brothers, Bruce and Mark.ย Daniel is survived by his brothers, Guy, Harry, Darcy and his sister, Becky. He is also survived by his son, Daniel Brasure Jr. and his wife Helen A. Brasure; grandchildren, Alexis Widner and husband Justin, Colton Brasure and wife Rebakah, Savanah Baines and husband Shine; great grandchildren, Deanna, Shea, Allison, Natalie, Mandy, Ella, Dawson, Peyton, Blake, Hannah and Evelyn; special family members, John McDermott and Colleen Wheatley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 1 pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a celebration of life will begin at 1 pm. Interment will be private.

Wow! So sorry to hear this news!!! Working with Dan was one of the most memorable thing that happened to me when I was first transferred from California! He really helped me gain the courage that I needed to become an operator out in the process! He was fair and patient with all! Condolences to his family! What a wonderful human being!
