Daniel Francis Cascino, age 35, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

Born in Columbus, OH on May 11, 1987, he was a son of Joseph Frank and Veronica Lee (Scheid) Cascino. Daniel was a graduate of Glasgow High School in 2005, where he was captain of the wrestling team. He was a social butterfly who didn’t know a stranger, he loved meeting new people. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games. Deep in his faith, Daniel was a dedicated member of Holy Family R.C. Church. He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew, and cousin.

Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Cecelia Scheid. He is survived by his parents, Frank and Veronica Cascino; brother, Joey Cascino; paternal grandparents, Louis and Doris Cascino; nieces and nephews, Kira, Jeffrey, Wesley, and Curtis Cascino; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Holy Family R.C. Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am. Interment will be held privately.

  • Many of my favorite memories growing up included Dan. He had such a beautiful, pure heart. He could always put a smile on my face and make me laugh. I am lucky to have known him for such a long time. He will be deeply missed, the world lost such a kind soul. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
