Daniel J. “Dan” Salvato, Jr.

December 11, 1962 - January 30, 2021

Daniel J. “Dan” Salvato, Jr., age 58, of Bear, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 11, 1962, he was a son of Ida (Hall) Salvato and the late Daniel James Salvato. Dan graduated from Sterling High School in 1980. After graduation, he pursued self-employment as a master tile setter through Everlast Flooring. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed playing the guitar and working on fixer upper projects.

Dan is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia “Tricia” Salvato; sons, Nicholas and Ryan; siblings, Angel Cassella (Bob), Michael Salvato and Valerie Hafner (Mark); parents-in-law, Nicholas and Patricia Barnett, sister-in-law, Kathy Homa (Dave); and nieces and nephews, Bobby, Amanda, Cassandra, Mark, Alicia and Katlyn.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 2431 Frazer Road, Newark, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read’s Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720 or Delaware SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713.
