Daniel L. “Pops” Foraker

July 4, 1960 - March 30, 2023

Daniel L. Foraker, affectionately known as “Pops,” age 62, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, on July 4, 1960, Pops was a son of Nancy (Mills) Hartis and the late Earl Foraker, Sr. He made his career as a mason for Rizzo Construction. In his leisure time, Pops enjoyed fishing, hunting, crabbing, and boating with his grandson, Aiden, and listening to country music.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earl “Butch” Foraker, Jr. In addition to his mother, Pops is survived by his loving wife, Nancy J. (Sobolak) Foraker; children, Michael Carter (Terra) and Margaret Carter; brothers, Rick Foraker and Brian Foraker (Margaret); and grandchildren, Haileigh, Ava, Aiden, Lyam and Ella.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 11 am on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Interment will be held privately.
