  • What a great man.The world needs more Like him in it. Vaya con dios Danny.

  • Way too soon and he will be missed by many.. I know Danny would rather be sitting in his boat with Jacob waiting for a fish that may decide to take the hook. I really don’t think Danny cared if he caught anything or not. He just enjoyed the peaceful time spent with his grandson. He never said no (ok rarely) to his grandchildren. I think he budgeted twenty dollars for every Little League game, just for snacks for the grandkids. I know he preferred fishing to going to Maple Valley Swim Club with the kids, but occasionally Wendy would get him there, I really think he enjoyed it.
We are saddened by the void that Danny’s death has caused for the Groce and Greenleaf families, but hopefully they are strong and will support each other.

  • Wendy and Family, Our hearts grieve with you over this great loss. Danny was a kind and gracious man and a superb grandfather. We will pray for comfort and peace for each of you in the days ahead.

  • We were so sorry and so surprised to hear of Danny’s passing. I have been remembering all of the good times we shared in Windy Hills and I get a big smile on my face. He was a great family man, friend and neighbor. Heaven is surely getting a good one.

  • Dear Wendy and family, Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. We are proud to have known him and the wonderful example he left behind for his family. May God be with you all.

  • 25 years ago I began hunting in White Clay Park. I was on a trail, lost, and looking at my map. Dan came along and walked me to my stand even though his stand was on the other side of the area. This was the start of a friendship that I thoroughly enjoyed and will greatly miss.
I’ll miss his messages with pictures of the fish caught by his son and grandson. I laughed at a picture of his Durango’s Odometer with 200,00 miles on it.
My sincere sympathy to Wendy and his family that he loved so much.
I wish everyone could have a Dan Groce as a friend. The world would be a lot better for it.

  • I worked with Danny for many years at Avon. He was a great friend and he will be missed. My sympathies for the family
