Dennis Edward “Eddie” Gregg

Dennis Edward “Eddie” Gregg, age 29, of Bear, DE, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

Born in Newark, DE on April 29, 1994, he was the son of Dennis John and Leann Marie (Simcox) Gregg. Eddie was a graduate of Delaware Military Academy. He then pursued his career as an electrician, working most recently with Progressive Electric.

Eddie loved the outdoors, spending countless hours crabbing, fishing, and biking. He was a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo and enjoyed many other sports. Eddie could often be found listing to many genres of music, playing video games, and watching movies.

Eddie was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jean Simcox; paternal grandfather, Ronald Caldwell; and aunt, Teresa Doherty. In addition to his parents, Eddie is survived by his maternal grandfather, Lee Simcox; paternal grandmother, Patty Caldwell; his greatest love and four legged-friend, Sasha; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eddie’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.

  • So sorry Leann. I feel like I’ve lost a grandchild. There was so much potential for him. You did all you could. God Bless.
