Diane Lynn “Mom Mom” Reedy

Diane Lynn “Mom Mom” Reedy, age 72, of Bear, DE, passed on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on September 8, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Doris (Smith) Buchanan, Sr. Diane had several jobs during her lifetime, but especially enjoyed her time working as a HHA for Bayada Home Health.

Diane was an animal lover and enjoyed going on family trips, tending to her yard, and spoiling her dog, Pepper. Family was everything to her and she cherished spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy J. Reedy, Sr.; siblings, Austin “Bucky” Buchanan, Jr., Barbara “Barbie” Mooney and Nancy Zellers; and her beloved dogs, Katie and Samantha. She is survived by her children, Frederick W. Wilson, III (Jessica), Tonda A. Heath (Angelo) and Billy J. Reedy, Jr.; siblings, James “Jimmy” Atkinson, Jennifer Sampson (Harry), Mary “Pixie” Foust (Harry), Jeannette Neff (Mark) and Harold Engle; grandchildren, Jessica Elvey, David Elvey (Courtney), Kayla Heath, Kaitlyn Wilson and Aimee Wilson; great-grandchildren, Cameren Elvey, Za’Myriah Wiggins, Lee’Ona Elvey and Emmett Elvey; life-long best friend, Pat Morgan Logeman; many special nephews and nieces; and countless other loved ones and cherished friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. A committal service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
