Dianne Louise Wolf, age 71, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, at home on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE on February 4, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Irene “Babe” (Davis) Schimelfenig. Dianne made her career as a logical access and security specialist at ICI/Astra Zeneca until her retirement.

An active member of her community, Dianne was a former president of the Collins Park Civic Association. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting beautiful pieces for her friends and family. Dianne looked forward to the summer time and taking trips to the beach as often as possible. Above all, she cherished the memories she made with her family.

In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Stephanie Betts. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Wolf; siblings, Barbie Soden, Toni-Marie Schimelfenig, David Schimelfenig (Sandy) , and Richard Schimelfenig (Barbara); cat, Smokey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 2 pm. The family requests that anyone attending the service wear colorful clothing. Inurnment will be held privately.
