Dolores Mae Otto
May 7, 1934 - April 13, 2025
Dolores Mae Otto, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Born in 1934, Dolores lived a life full of quiet strength, kindness and devotion. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Otto, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love and family.
Dolores was the cherished mother of Joseph Otto, Jr. (Ruby), Cindy Otto Murphy (Brian) and Glenn Otto (Debra). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Johanna Geesaman (Adam), Jameson Woods, Bridget Filippone (Freddie), Brian Otto (Kristen) and Scott Otto. She delighted in being a great-grandmother, a role that brought her much joy.
Dolores worked for many years in the pharmacy at Pathmark, where she was known for her gentle spirit and warm smile. Outside of work, she found joy in quilting, traveling, taking walks with her friends and most of all, spending time with her family.
Her warmth, strength and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service for family and friends will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Wesley Methodist Church, 41 Justice Way, Elkton, Maryland, followed by a luncheon. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolores’s memory to Wesley Methodist Church, at the address listed above.
