Donna Christopher

Donna Christopher, age 62, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home on Thursday, May 9, 2024, after a short but fierce battle with cancer.

Donna was a spitfire from Alabama, she was tough yet kind. She loved her family and friends, and animals always held a special place in her heart. Donna was very creative and enjoyed being crafty with her children and grandchildren. She loved to have barbecues where she could laugh and sing with her family and friends. Donna liked to go shopping and do her nails with her daughters. The thing that Donna loved most of all was spending the holidays with her daughters and grandchildren. She always looked forward to cooking and baking with her friends and family on the holidays.

Donna will forever live on in our hearts. Gone, but never forgotten.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Villar Dye; father, Gene Moon; sister, Michelle Thompson; and grandson, Cameron Long. She is survived by her dad, Howard “Pete” Thompson; siblings, Nancy Moon, JR. Thompson, Harley Thompson, and Huey Thompson; daughters, Machelle Turner, and Jessica Elsbernd; and grandchildren, Julie Long, Jacob Elsbernd, and Brianna Elsbernd.

All services will be held privately.
