Donna Fay Roegge

October 10, 1937 - August 19, 2026

Donna Fay Roegge, age 88, of Middletown, DE, and formerly of Mentor, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Born in Coshocton, OH, on October 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Pearl (Brooks) Holskey. Donna made her way to northern Ohio and began a career as an accountant, ultimately retiring from ABB Inc., a global automation business, in 2003. Donna married her husband Don Roegge in 1964 and built a home in Mentor, Ohio, where they raised their daughters.

Donna always took great pride in her home. She had an eye for decorating and design and loved redoing rooms to keep it fresh. Don always indulged her desire to change things up and never complained. Whether it was new paint, wallpaper, or curtains, it would always give way to her vision, providing an updated look and a new “pop of color” they both appreciated.

In 2004, Donna and Don moved east to Middletown, Delaware to be closer to their daughters and family. Participating in their lives and witnessing their successes was a huge source of pride for Donna and Don both. Annual family vacations to the Delaware beaches of Bethany and Fenwick Island, along with special holiday celebrations, have generated many loving and treasured memories over the years.

Donna was patriotic and big supporter of the United States military. Her admiration and gratitude of the duty and sacrifice that service members willingly make was deep. This was a feeling she shared with Don, a proud Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold “Don” Roegge; and brother, Edward Hendricks. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Hootman-Ng (Timothy Ng) of Stamford, CT, and Dawn Clausing (Steve Wilcox) of Newark, DE; son, Reed White of McLean, VA; sister, Sandra Thibos; grandchildren, Scott Hootman-Ng, Jason Clausing, Adam White, and Andrew White; sister-in-law, Bonnie Merket; and extended family, Mark Clausing.

All services will be held privately, and Donna will join her husband in eternal rest at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna’s memory to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 1858, Merrifield, VA 22116 or online by clicking here.
