Doris E. Whiteley

Doris E. Whiteley, age 80, of Middletown, DE, and formerly of Surfside Beach, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Born in Elkton, MD, on December 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Emma (LeCates) Carmine. Doris worked as an office aide at Goldey-Beacom College and a real estate agent. She later worked at St. Francis Hospital as an office administrator.

Doris enjoyed spending football season cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers. She was also an avid dog lover. Doris was a volunteer of the Delaware Chamber of Commerce and a member of the National Association of Realtors.

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Norman F. Whiteley, Jr.; daughters, Wendy L. Frye (Edward) and Cheri Miller (Dennis); and grandchildren; Amanda Cini, Jennifer Miller, and Dominic Cini.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 10:30 am on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 10:30 am. Inurnment will be held privately.
