Doris L. Gouge

Doris L. Gouge was called home by the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born and raised in Peach Bottom, PA and resided in Delaware.

Doris loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, yard sales, auctions, bowling, playing quoits, and vacationing at the mountains and the beach with family.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Alice (Hess) and Harry Keefer; her two sisters, Mary Anderson and Nancy Hagens; and her three brothers, Bub, Jim, and Donald Keefer. She is survived by her longtime companion and best friend, Robert Porter; five children, Jackie Johnson (Rick) of Clayton, DE, Tom Gouge (Jeannine) of Lyman, WY, Michelle Johnson (Mark) of Newark, DE, Don Gouge of New Castle, DE, and John Gouge of New Castle, DE; as well as her “daughter”, Chris Gouge; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Road, Peach Bottom, PA, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
