Dorrene Yvonne Green

March 22, 1958 - January 7, 2021

Dorrene Yvonne Green, age 62, of New Castle, DE, was granted her angel wings on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

Born in Wilmington, DE on March 22, 1958, she was a daughter of David I. Rose and the late Sara F. (Thorpe) Rose. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, Dorrene spent the last 21 years working as the office manager for Spinal Health & Wellness where she was loved by many. She was a loving and supportive daughter, sister, wife, mother, mommom and friend. Dorrene loved spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her four grandchildren, whom she loved with all of her heart. Dorrene thoroughly enjoyed the times she spent with them vacationing in Disney and watching them in their various activities. She was their biggest fan. When not spending time with her grandchildren, Dorrene also enjoyed watching the Phillies, spending time with her beloved dogs, feeding wildlife, searching antique shops for her many collections with her loving husband of 43 years and shopping with her daughters. Words cannot even begin to explain what a wonderful human being she was and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Dorrene is survived by her devoted husband, John N. Green; children, Sharon M. Wooldridge (Ken) of Newark and Laura L. Mohr (Bill) of Hockessin; grandchildren, Olivia Mohr, Liam Mohr, Quinn Wooldridge, and Finley Wooldridge; siblings, Ralph Rose of New Castle, Robert Rose of California and Suzanne Rose (Gary) of Newark; nieces, Melanie Rose and Bethany Rose; and fur baby, Charlotte.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am to 12 noon on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance.
