Born in Baltimore, MD on February 4, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Holt Hensley and Estelle Mae (McNeil) Litewski. Jane dedicated her life to taking care of her family as a homemaker.

A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her twin brother, James Hensley; and sisters, Rosa Lee and Carol Hensley. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James D. Stewart; children, Robert B. Stewart (Paige) of Middletown, Donna L. Perry (James) of Smyrna, and Sharon L. Long (Richard) of Wilmington; brother, Alan Hensley (Suzie); sister-in-law, Janie Hensley; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm.
