Earl A. Holt, Jr.

Earl A. Holt, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Desanno; father, Earl Holt; and his grandfather, Earl A. Holt Sr. Earl leaves behind his son, Patrick Holt (Cassie) of Smyrna, DE; brother, Shane Holt of Newark, DE; his canine companion, Toby; and many other family and close friends.

He was a trusted mechanic for many years. Earl enjoyed playing ball with his son and going to his games to cheer him on. He loved football and enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. Earl was the true definition of the life of the party, and will be truly missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking all family and friends to join them for a memorial benefit to help offset funeral expenses on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1 pm until 4 pm at Earl’s frequented watering hole, Game Changers Sports Bar & Grill, 1430 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE. You must be 21 years old or older. The cost is $10 at the door. Food is included; however, it will be a cash bar, tips and an auction as well to help raise more funds. So please come out and show your support for Patrick and Shane. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

A memorial service will be held the following afternoon to celebrate the man that we all knew and loved from 1 pm until 3 pm on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Saint Anthony’s club, 1017 Gray St., New Castle, DE.
