Earlene F. Wilson

Earlene F. Wilson, age 71, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
Born in Mount Holly, NJ on October 5, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Penock) Fowler. Earlene was a graduate of Lenape High School in Mount Holly, NJ. She spent 27 years working as a hospice CNA at First State Home Health & Hospice Care and Bayada Home Health Care.
In her spare time, Earlene could often be found watching videos on her phone, her favorites were funny videos of babies, or Steve Harvey. She enjoyed watching TV with her sisters via phone, especially basketball and football. Earlene was very fond of her collection of pigs and was quite proud of her collection of gifts she had received from former patients and friends.
In addition to her parents, Earlene was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, LeRoy Wilson; and siblings, Lester Fowler, Franklin Fowler, Louie Fowler, Sonny Fowler, Margaret Smith, Jean Simmons, and Joanne Scott. She is survived by her siblings, Corrincia Borgman (Jim), Hope Thompson (Bill), Irene Lepera, and Bert Fowler; sister-in-law, Candance Wildy; stepdaughter, Rhonda Brown; 10 nephews; 9 nieces; 7 great nephews; and many friends.
The family of Earlene would like to extend a special thank you to AccentCare Hospice and their staff, as well as her friends, Paula Riley, Rosa Rodriguez, Elaine Brooks, Gail Pollinger, Margie Cherico, and the other care givers.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11:30 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11:30 am. Interment will be held privately.

Earlene was my friend too many years to count. Even though I moved to Florida we spoke several time a day .
Her humor and kindness to so many was astounding. .
My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
I will miss her always but have peace knowing I will see her again.
