We are so heartbroken and pray that all our love, hugs and prayers help Richard, Mark, John and the entire family navigate through these very difficult times without their beloved Edith and Oma. I will miss her laughter, her warm hugs and visits down memory lane. We had so many great times together over the last 60 years, especially the times at the beach, skiing, traveling to islands for scuba, poolside cook-outs, dancing, visits to our Hampstead, NC home, and so many more wonderful memories of love and friendship. She was my friend, my sister, my family and she will be sorely missed. RIP Edith

I’ve known Edith my entire life. She always made me feel at home, treated me like a daughter, and always made me laugh. And that laugh! Hearing her laugh always brought me joy. There was really no one quite like her. She was so welcoming to everyone. She never met a stranger. My heart breaks for Richard, John, Mark and the entire family. Edith, you will be sorely missed by so many. The only comfort is to know you are now with your parents, your sister, Erica and my dad.
