Elijah Douglas Hogate
March 15, 2025 - May 19, 2025
Elijah Douglas Hogate was born on March 15, 2025, and spent his short, but profoundly meaningful life wrapped in the deep love of his family. He passed peacefully in the arms of his parents, Amber and Jay Hogate, on May 19, 2025.
During his time on Earth, Elijah experienced the warmth of his mother’s touch, the strength of his father’s embrace, and the joyful presence of his big sisters, Charli and Lexi. He heard lullabies and stories, was held close in quiet moments, and was surrounded by love every moment of his life.
Elijah is the cherished son of Amber and Jay Hogate, and the beloved little brother of Charli and Lexi. He was deeply loved by his maternal grandparents, Suzanne and Ron Topor, and Elizabeth Topor (Anthony Kasowski). He held a special place in the hearts of his Aunt Amanda (Rob); uncles, Boomer (Fer), TJ, Patrick (Jessica), and Caden; and cousins, Declan, Emily, Astoria, Vannah, Mehki, and many others through his Aunt Michele, especially Jayde and Jaycee. Elijah is also survived by his paternal grandparents. He was surrounded by many aunties and uncles by heart, chosen family who loved him dearly and held him close. Elijah was blessed with a large extended family, including more aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones whose names may not all be listed but whose love and presence meant the world.
Though Elijah’s time with us was brief, his life was filled with beauty, gentleness, and love. He reminded us that every heartbeat matters, and that even the smallest souls can leave the deepest imprint.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible team at Nemours Children Hospital (CICU) for the compassionate and loving care they provided to Elijah and to his family during his life.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 3 pm. Please contact the family directly for location details.

Elijah’s light will forever shine in the hearts of those who love him.
He was here. He was loved. He will always matter.

We love Eli so very much.
A green eye’d boy, so special in every way. We will always be saddened by the short time that we had with him but also forever grateful. May he rest in peace with beautiful baby wings. Vannah Bell and I will always be here for the family. 💞 and out condolences.
