Elizabeth Reid Smith, age 99, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Born in Cambuslang, Scotland on June 5, 1925, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Walker) Reid.  Elizabeth worked in administration at Getty Oil and retired in 1985.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Smith; and sister, Anne LaCross. She is survived by her son, James R. Smith (Gayle); daughter, Margaret Seningen (Harry); grandson, James A. Smith (Melanie); niece, Candace LaCross; great-niece, Tracey Rivera (Ed); great-nephew, James Smith; and her great-great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
