  • My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this very special lady. I was fortunate enough to have her as my middle school social studies teacher. She instilled in me a curiosity for the world, and may be the one I need to blame for my love of travel and experiencing other cultures. She was such a gentle soul . I’m wondering just how many middle school children and others she influenced in her lifetime. She will be missed , and we could only hope to follow in her footsteps by being such a good role model for others. RIP, Mrs Weidman ❤️

  • Sending prayers. Elsie was my daughter’s 4th grade teacher and I subbed for her a few times. A good teacher and very nice lady.

  • Good morning Nancy. I just saw your mother’s obituary in this morning’s paper. My mother died 3 years ago a week shy of her 96th birthday. After the incredible feeling of loss and emptiness I try my best to hold on to the gratitude for having her in my life for so long. I hope you have that comforting thought as well. When I picture your mom I see her smiling from behind her desk at Bayard. She was always such a kind gentle woman and a joy to work with. Peace and love to you and your family.
    Love, Priscilla

  • So sorry to hear about Elsie. Knew her through Floyd, who was our principal at Wilson School. She was a wonderful woman, mother, and wife. Very sorry for your loss.

  • So sorry to hear about your Mom, Bob and family. She was a special person with the heart of a servant who raised wonderful children and had a long, full life. So much to be grateful for.

Well Done Good and Faithful Servant.

  • After numerous visits to the Vice Principal’s office at Wilson Elementary, when I moved on to Shue School I thought I’d never have to deal with Mr. Weidman again. So of course my 6th grade homeroom teacher was Mrs. Weidman! My condolences to the family.
