Enola Jane (Newton) Teeter, age 82, of Newark, DE, long-time horticulturalist and greenhouse operator, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, after a short illness.
Born in Wilmington, DE on January 10, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Walter I. and Marian B. (Lovett) Newton. Enola was like a grandmother to me, we met on Internet but it never felt the way she was concerned about me and my family. She has been always a huge support with immense amount of brilliance and logics. I pray that her soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences 💐

My prayers are with you today, Donna and family. I was blessed to know your parents and grandparents. Enola tried for years to teach me not to kill flowers but to enjoy them and thru her , I did.

Praying for you and your family during this time of loss and grief. I met Ms. Teeter 3 years ago when I stopped to buy her beautiful flowers and vegetables plants! She had so much knowledge and tenacity, I enjoyed seeing her and the cat on the leash. She will be missed tremendously; she was so sweet and kind. Remember all of the good memories and the love that she gave! Condolences to her daughter and family🙏🏽
