Ensaf (Safy) Amiry Patton, age 69, of Alexandria, Egypt, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on October 31, 2011.
Safy immigrated to America in 1962 with her husband and children. She worked as a teller at Wilmington Trust prior to managing the office of her husband’s psychiatric practice. She will always be remembered as the gregarious and outspoken matriarch of a loving family. Safy was laid to rest on November 1st in her native city of Alexandria, Egypt, beside beloved members of her family.
Safy was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Robert W. Patton, the loving mother of Emon Carcoura-Zaki (Sherif), Hannady Carcoura-Morsi (Sayed), and Ahmed Carcoura (Lorraine), and the admiring grandmother of Jehan Morsi, Zeeko Zaki, Omar Morsi, Zaina Zaki, and Zeyad Zaki. Safy is also survived by her brother, Mohamed Amiry (Nazik), sister, Nina Amiry-Sammakia (Awni), and sisters-in-law, Laila Amiry and Laila Ramadan. She was predeceased by her brothers, Reda Amiry and Nadim Amiry, and parents, Hassan Amiry and Aisha Sammakia. Safy also leaves nieces and nephews, Amre, Tarek, Jihan, Reda, Karim, Deena, Nadim, Lubna and Ahmed.
Friends and family are welcome to join in a reception and celebration of her life on Saturday, November 12th, from 5 pm to 9 pm, at the home of her daughter, Emon Zaki, at 969 Wes Moore Drive, West Chester, PA 19382.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends make a donation to the charity of their choice as it would have been our mother’s wish.
