Fanny M. Marando, age 92, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on March 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Coladora) and Louis D’Agostino, Sr.  Fanny was employed at Grand Laundry in Wilmington for 20 years and then as a stock clerk at Ames, retiring in 1991.

Active in her community, Fanny was a member of Howard J. Weston Senior Center in Wilmington Manor, Delaware. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, baking, painting ceramics, and cheering on the Phillies.

In addition to her parents, Fanny was preceded in death by her loving husband, Etole A. Marando, who passed away in 1983; siblings, Samuel D’Agostino, Louis D’Agostino, Jr., David DiDonato, Pasquale DiDonato, Frances Giacci, Yolanda Sweeney, Clara Tribuani, Martha MacGregor, Rose Cammack, and Angelina Collins. She is survived by her siblings, Robert (Dottie), Thomas (Doreen), and Albert DiDonato; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

    Wayne was always such a nice person. My son and him hangout together.
