Frances E. “Fran” Brumbaugh

February 18, 1952 - December 8, 2021

          Frances E. “Fran” Brumbaugh, age 69, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

          Born in Wilmington, DE on February 18, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Veronica (Wak) Slaughter.  Fran was a graduate of Delcastle Technical High School in 1970.  She married her childhood sweetheart, Dave, and started a beautiful life of 51 years together.  Fran worked in the Fraud and Risk department at Wilmington Trust.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband as often as they could.  Fran was an artist, and loved to paint with oils and watercolor.  She loved designing baskets for her friends and family.  Fran had so much love in her that it showed in everything she created.  Above all, she cherished time spent with her husband, daughter, and her grandkids.  She will always be their “Nee.”

          Fran “Nee” is survived by her husband, David A. Brumbaugh; daughter, Marla L. Lawhorne (William); grandchildren, Jake Lawhorne, Gage Lawhorne (Ivy), and Page Lawhorne; sister, Maryann Bonvetti; sister-in-law, Olive Brumbaugh; nephews, Joe Bonvetti (Tara) and Eddie Bonvetti; nieces, Olivia and Randi Brumbaugh; great-niece, Izzy Bonvetti; and many loving friends and extended family.

          All services will be held privately.
