Francis Earl “Fran” McDade, age 59, of Earleville, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Chester, PA on February 12, 1961, he was the son of the late William Francis and Mary Helen (Wojs) McDade. Fran graduated from Claymont High School in 1979. Following graduation, he pursued a lifelong career as a master carpenter, and worked for several home builders throughout Delaware. In 2005, Fran achieved building his dream masterpiece: his family home in Earleville, MD. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, big trucks and boats. Fran and his wife, Lorraine, made several family trips to Mexico and the Caribbean. He delighted in entertaining his many friends and family during the summertime. Above all, Fran cherished spending time with his family.

Fran is survived by his dear wife of 25 years, Lorraine Ann Linder McDade; children, Michael McDade and Jessica McDade; sister, Mary McDade; and in-laws, Richard and Mary Ann Linder.

All services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fran’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

I was blessed to be your neighbor for a few years and I remember when you first started dating Fran, and attending your wonderful wedding day! Fran was such a kind, fun and good man. I remember him dressing up like Santa in our neighborhood, and hanging off his truck with a Piñata for the neighborhood kids for Halloween. He was a loyal friend, and always ready to help anyone in need. I loved hanging out with you guys and Fran always made me laugh . I am broken hearted he is gone but I am glad to have a cool biker as guardian angel.
