Franklin B. “Jay” Baker III
August 20, 1947 - November 24, 2017
Franklin B. Baker III, 70, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017.
Born on August 20, 1947, he was the son of the late Franklin B. and Leota (Herman) Baker, Jr. Jay was a graduate of De La Warr High School. He made his career as a truck driver for Sico Transportation in Mount Joy, PA, retiring after 19 years.
Jay was an active member of Abate and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Family meant everything to him and he loved each and every one of them dearly.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl L. Behler (Richard), Laurie Tumulty (Timothy) both of Smyrna, and Hollie J. Christian (Thomas) of Downingtown, PA; and grandchildren, Chelsea, Katie, Matthew, Sarah, Nicolas, Victoria, and Olivia.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 until 2 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels Delaware, 100 W. 10th St., Ste 207, Wilmington, DE 19801.

I’m sorry to hear about Uncle Jay’s passing. My condolences to his girls and their families. I would like to try and come for the funeral. I live in Portland OR, so I can’t make promises, but I’ll try my best.
