Gail P. Ross

March 11, 1951 - March 19, 2026

Gail P. Ross, age 75, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, surrounded by her devoted husband and loving daughters.

Born in Evansville, Indiana, on March 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Lequita Joy (Trobough) Pallette, Sr. While Gail was born in Indiana, she was raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she created lasting memories. Gail made her career as an administrative assistant at the University of Delaware for 22 years, until her retirement in 2005.

Gail was an avid reader and found joy and inspiration in books, but treasured spending time with her family the most. She was fortunate to have met her husband and greatest supporter when she was just 15 years old. They had two daughters who gave her three remarkable grandchildren. Gail loved a long drive with her husband and shopping dates with her daughters.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, M. Wayne Ross; children, Heather R. Kwiatkowski (James) and Amy R. McDine (Jason Milburn); brother, Roy Lee Pallette, Jr.; and grandchildren, Amanda McDine, Robyn McDine, and Tyler Kwiatkowski.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, 312 Bethel Cemetery Road, Chesapeake City, MD.
