I’m so sorry for the loss of such a fine man. I’m proud to call cousin. One of my fondest memories of Gary and I were when we were children we made a step stool to go inside uncle Doug’s shed. We worked on it all day long, hammer nails, found old wood out in the woods. We thought it was the best steps. We put much thought into it. Then finally uncle Doug came home. We showed him what we made. We were so proud of it. We both stood on the side and said, now look you can go inside the shed and you don’t have to take such a big step (it wasn’t a big step for him anyway) well he knew it wasn’t going to withstand his weight and as soon as he stepped on it the whole thing broke. You should’ve seen Gary and my face. WOW that was a sight. I’m gonna miss you cousin Gary. I love you. Rest In Peace. Give my love to Mammaw and PapPap ❤️🙏

Gary is already so missed at Rockford by those of us who had the privilege of having him as a coworker and more importantly, a friend. His snarky sense of humor, blunt honesty, and huge heart will never be forgotten.

It’s taken me a while to write this B. I miss you, that’s it. It’s so unfair. Although you were my Uncle, you were my best friend. I have so many fond memories of us together. I even went on the dates you had with you, ha. I didn’t mind being the third wheel at the time though, you never made me feel that way. Thanks for always being there, making me laugh and loving me the way you did. No one can ever take your place in my heart. ♥️ 🤍💙

Gary, my family, and I have only. Still, great memories that our families have shared to name a few, playing kickballs in the front yard, having grandma Nancy run the bases, laughing my butt off, having countless neighborhood block parties, and showing me how to play the corn hole game for the first time.
My friend was ridiculously happy in life, so let us celebrate that life rather than weep over death Rest In Peace, Gary the Huff family, will raise a toast in your honor.
Kelly Family
My family will miss you Gary. You have touched all of us with your humor and your kindness. I wish you could have stayed in this world longer.

Gary, you were taken way too soon. You were always smiling, willing to help and bringing in goodies for the staff at Snowden. I will forever be thankful you worked Christmas for me, so I could be with my kids. You would give the shirt off your back to others and were protective of your coworkers. Listening to you talk about your mom, there was always a sparkle in your eye. It was easy to tell how much family meant to you. You were a kind and caring soul and will be greatly missed. RIP my friend

This is my second message:
I’m Gary’s cousin on his dads side.
Another childhood story.
We grew up with apple trees in our backyard and our grandfather PapPap had a shed right next to the apple trees
we had a great idea one day to play a joke on Pap Pap
he had a vent hole in the shed so Gary me and my sisters picked up apples We must have put 100’s of apples through the hole into his shed so when he came in their the next morning and opened up his door
he would have a 1000 apples in his shed all over the floor. We laughed the whole time we were putting them in the hole.
Oh it was funny for all about 1 minute when we got found out.
Boy did we get into trouble. I can’t remember if Gary got a spanking but we had to pick up every apple in that shed. Wow we didn’t mess with Pap Pap ever again… lol
Good times and memories
Love always
Cousin Susie ❤️🙏

I met Gary in 7th grade. Months later, we learned we were cousins.
We became inseparable. Jason was also with us often and his mom
called us Larry, Daryl and Daryl.
Some of my favorite memories are:
Hanging out at DeRays Market
Camping trips to Shenandoah Acres
Skipping school and hanging out at Sasser’s house
Playing on sports teams; football, basketball and baseball.
Hunting and fishing.
Just because we were not as close in recent years, doesn’t mean I won’t miss him. I miss our great times and wish we were able to have more.
Dale Arrington
