  • I’m so sorry for the loss of such a fine man. I’m proud to call cousin. One of my fondest memories of Gary and I were when we were children we made a step stool to go inside uncle Doug’s shed. We worked on it all day long, hammer nails, found old wood out in the woods. We thought it was the best steps. We put much thought into it. Then finally uncle Doug came home. We showed him what we made. We were so proud of it. We both stood on the side and said, now look you can go inside the shed and you don’t have to take such a big step (it wasn’t a big step for him anyway) well he knew it wasn’t going to withstand his weight and as soon as he stepped on it the whole thing broke. You should’ve seen Gary and my face. WOW that was a sight. I’m gonna miss you cousin Gary. I love you. Rest In Peace. Give my love to Mammaw and PapPap ❤️🙏
    Love

Listening to you talk about your mom, there was always a sparkle in your eye. It was easy to tell how much family meant to you. You were a kind and caring soul and will be greatly missed. • This is my second message:
I’m Gary’s cousin on his dads side.
    Another childhood story.
We grew up with apple trees in our backyard and our grandfather PapPap had a shed right next to the apple trees
we had a great idea one day to play a joke on Pap Pap
he had a vent hole in the shed so Gary me and my sisters picked up apples We must have put 100’s of apples through the hole into his shed so when he came in their the next morning and opened up his door
he would have a 1000 apples in his shed all over the floor. We laughed the whole time we were putting them in the hole.
Oh it was funny for all about 1 minute when we got found out.
Boy did we get into trouble. I can’t remember if Gary got a spanking but we had to pick up every apple in that shed. Wow we didn’t mess with Pap Pap ever again… lol
    Good times and memories
    Love always
    Cousin Susie ❤️🙏

  • Prayers for my Woodbridge friend and your family.

  • Will miss u and making your favorite banana pudding

  • Rest well Big guy!

  • I met Gary in 7th grade. Months later, we learned we were cousins.
We became inseparable. Jason was also with us often and his mom
called us Larry, Daryl and Daryl.

Some of my favorite memories are:
    Hanging out at DeRays Market
    Camping trips to Shenandoah Acres
Skipping school and hanging out at Sasser’s house
Playing on sports teams; football, basketball and baseball.
    Hunting and fishing.

Just because we were not as close in recent years, doesn’t mean I won’t miss him. I miss our great times and wish we were able to have more.
