  • I’m so sorry for your loss 😔 George was a great person. May God give you all peace & comfort during this difficult time 🙏🙏🙏

  • So very sorry for your loss. We enjoyed seeing George at church

  • George sung in our choir in Landenberg. His love of music and his willingness to tackle any musical piece was a great asset to the choir. He didn’t tell us about his guitar and harmonica skills or we would have had him playing as well as singing.
I miss your sweet tenor voice. Thank you for all the talents you shared with us. We will meet again!

  • Warmest regards and deepest sympathy from our family to yours. George was the best kind of an old friend and I miss him. May the Lord bless you and keep you and His light shine upon George forevermore.

  • George was a blessing to our young church in Stafford County, VA. He led or participated in numerous group trips to the Shenandoah River for a men’s weekend retreat, camping, hiking and canoeing. It was such a special time and a spiritual time. George loved the Lord and gave freely of his time and talents in singing, playing and solving electrical issues at the church and for anyone in the church who needed a good electrician. He was an extraordinary member of the “Christmas in April” events. George worked for the Lord in such quiet and steadfast ways and now has heard Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

  • I am so sorry for George’s passing. I enjoyed getting to know him at Summit Presbyterian. He was a quiet, gentle soul with many musical talents. I will miss his lovely singing voice and guitar playing. Praying for God’s peace to the family.

  • I’m so sorry to hear that George has passed. He was a remarkable human being and Christian. His quiet generous heart touched many here in Stafford Va through his demonstration of what being a Christian means through his everyday life as well as his presence in the church. Rest in peace you good and faithful servant. Heaven has gained a good one!

  • I am so sorry for your loss, your family is in my thoughts and prayers. George and I go back to childhood. Rest easy George, you are loved and missed already.

  • Many fond memories from the tenor section of the Men’s group and choir at Summit Presbyterian. George had the difficult task of keeping me on the right note and the right timing. Now you have joined the heavenly choir tenor section but you will be forever missed.

  • I am very sad to learn of George’s passing. What a beautiful photo tribute to him and his life. I played trombone with George and Roy Nelson in high school. I was so glad to see George and Roy pictured together in the photo tribute. They were great friends. When I would come home to Butler, whenever possible, George, Roy and Diane, and I would get together and catch up. I learned to play the guitar late in life and had fun talking with George about our shared interests in guitar. He was a far more skilled than I, but still, I enjoyed that musical connection. We have lived our adult lives many miles apart, but the memories I have of George (and Roy) is/will always be strong and important ones. “From what we cannot hold the stars are made.” W.S.Merwin and in George’s case, it seems for what we cannot hold the sky, trees, water, mountains, pets, music, friends, and family were also made, so we might think of him fondly in the great outdoors and in each of us. Sincerely, Diane Reuning Bossung
