George McDonald Boozer, Sr.

George McDonald Boozer, Sr., age 77, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Born in Port Chester, NY on June 28, 1947, he was a son of the late Donald and Anna Barbara (Bento) Boozer. George was a graduate of Port Chester High School. He made his lifelong career as a truck driver with Arnold Bakers and later at Mayflower Moving Company.

George was an avid drag racer in Islip, Long Island, NY. He enjoyed watching TV and listening to music in his spare time. Above all, George loved his family and cherished the memories he made with them.

George is survived by his children, Anna Lones, George Boozer, Jr., and Jermaine Armstrong; siblings, Patricia Harrington, Nancy Boozer, and Robert Allen; grandchildren, Malikah, Dashanique and Danaysha Lones, and DeVohn and Na’Myiah Boozer, and Makeyah Baynard; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a time of sharing will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will be held privately.
