George Thomas Collins, age 77, a lifelong resident of New Castle, DE, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on March 29, 1941, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Elsie (Stark) Collins. George proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He retired from Chrysler after 30 years of employment as a forklift operator.

George was an avid crabber and a die-hard Phillies fan. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Blansfield and Pauline Wiggins. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Constance (Kovac) Collins; son, William Collins (Elizabeth); daughter, Susan White (Scott West); sisters, Jody Schneckenberger and Janet Tobin (Phil); and grandsons, Brendon, Ethan, and Colin.

Services and interment will be held privately.
