Gerard J. “Joe” Kent, age 77, of Clayton, DE, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2020.

Born in Virginia on June 7, 1943, he was a son of the late Albert J. and Mary (Crelling) Kent. Joe proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a dedicated Verizon employee for 37 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Joe also liked cooking in his spare time. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Joe is survived by his wife, Patricia (Durante) Kent; son, Scott D. Kent of Wilmington; stepson, Barry L. Isaacs; and grandchildren, Donovan Kent and Amelia Kent.

A committal service with military honors will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance.
