Gustave A. “Gus” Tibbett, age 66, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

Born in Wilmington, DE on August 18, 1954, he was a son of the late Lee R. and Margaret J. (Wedman) Tibbett, Jr. Gus proudly served 6 years in the Delaware National Guard. He retired as a glazier from Mike’s Glass.

In his spare time, Gus enjoyed watching horse racing and westerns. He also loved dogs as well as riding and working on his Harley’s.

In addition to his parents, Gus was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Moeller Tibbett. He is survived by his children, Sara Tibbett-Wright (Shannon) of Millsboro and Phyllis Hall of Lincoln; siblings, Mary (Tibbett) Casper (Peter) of Bear, Lee R. “Mike” Tibbett III (Virginia) of Dover, Debora Roberson (Tom) of Kenton and Sherrie McCracken (Ralph) of Middletown; grandchildren, Kaiya, Gabe and Kade; great grandson, Kayson; longtime companion, Diane Torterotot of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.
