Harold A. “Bud” Savage
October 19, 1932 - July 6, 2026
Harold A. “Bud” Savage, age 93, of Bear, DE, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026.
Born in Deep Creek Lake, MD on October 19, 1932, he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Sebold) Savage. Bud graduated from Accident High School in Accident, MD where he played basketball and soccer. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War and was an active member of Joseph B. Stahl American Legion Post 30 where he enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow veterans and remained committed to supporting those who served. He was a devoted member of the Wilmington Manor Lions Club for more than 50 years, and had also served as president.
Bud found great joy in traveling and creating memories with family and friends. His greatest gift was being social and connecting with people. He would always look forward to riding his bike around the neighborhood.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his loving wife, Agnes Pauline (Kemske) Savage; son, Gary T. Savage; daughter, Jayne Foraker; and sisters, Lucille Glotfelty and Betty Lou Roberts. He is survived by his sister, Shelby Jean Paugh; granddaughter, Beth Buyse (Mike); great-grandchildren, Colin, Jude, and Beau Buyse; long-time companion, Marie Davis; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

It was a great pleasure to have met bud . I always delighted to do my after noon shifts with him . We will joke and talk and watch the neighbors pass by but I will miss him dearly bud you are home now with your beautiful wife and family who have left before you rest in peace
