Harold C. McAllister

Harold C. McAllister, age 86, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 11, 1937, he was a son of the late William J. McAllister and Florence (Fischer) Paolini. Harold worked as a truck driver at United News for 30 years until his retirement in 1996.
A true outdoorsman, Harold often looked forward to going camping and travelling. In his spare time, he enjoyed challenging himself with jigsaw puzzles and word searches. Harold was a man of faith and dedicated member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Smyrna. He was also a proud member of the Teamsters Local 628.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his children, Charles McAllister, Aida Cruz, and Angel R. Rodriguez; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Blanca H. (Rodriguez) McAllister; children, Marcus McAllister (Rita), Maria McAllister, Francine Carlson (Ron), Florence Ray (Rashad), Josephine McAllister, William McAllister, Richard Lund, Anet Goher, Georgina DiMauro (Nick), and Mildred Rivera; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. A graveside service will begin at 12 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA.
