Harry F. Killian, age 79, of Middletown, DE, formerly of Willingboro, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 17, 1944, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Charlotte (Maul) Killian. The family moved to Croydon, PA, where Harry graduated from Bishop Egan High School and met his future wife, Madeline. The growing family then moved to Willingboro, NJ in 1974. There Harry was very active in local politics and community activities and was a member of the Willingboro Rotary Club. Harry worked as the executive director of Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority in New Jersey for 20 years, until his retirement. A man of faith, he was an active parishioner at St. Paul’s Parish in Delaware City.

A true family man, Harry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as Poppy and Pop. He was an avid amateur genealogist who traced multiple branches of our family back centuries to help build his family tree.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Marie (Maness) Killian; and stepmother, Clara Killian. He is survived by his children, Harry E. Killian, Gregory B. Killian (Leslie), Heather J. Uhlmann (Nathan), and Laurie A. Killian; stepbrother, George Mayberry (Evelyn); and grandchildren, Brandon Killian, Charlotte Uhlmann, and Evan Uhlmann.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, 209 Washington Street, Delaware City, DE. Inurnment will be held privately.
