Ibis Pino

Ibis Pino, age 88, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Born in Santiago, Cuba, on March 26, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Carmen Torres. Ibis worked as an assembler at George Products Co. in Middletown until her retirement in 2000.

Ibis enjoyed traveling to new places, and socializing with others. She was a talented cook and could often be found making a delicious meal for her loved ones. Ibis loved her dogs and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ibis was preceded in death by her brothers, Jorge Torres, Anibal Torres, and Rafael Torres. She is survived by her son, Antonio Pino (Maria Montanez); sister, Marta Ferrer; grandchildren, Antonio M. Pino, Alexander M. Pino, and Vincent M. Pino; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Vivian, and Julia.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
