James A. Markle

James A. Markle, age 77, of Townsend, DE, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
Born in Shamokin, PA on July 1, 1944, he was the son of the late James and Rita (Kelser) Markle. James was a paper cutter for International Paper Company.
James was an avid sports fan, he loved cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Villanova Wildcats basketball and Penn State Football. He enjoyed surf fishing. Above all James’ most cherished memories were spent attending family gatherings.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Crawford. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Bradley) Markle; children, Nancy M. Biddle (Charles) of Townsend, Kenny Markle (Jennifer), and Kevin R. Markle (Tanya) both of Wilmington; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 5 special nieces and 1 nephew.
A service will be held privately.
