James “Jim” Robert Turchen, Sr.

James “Jim” Robert Turchen, Sr., age 67, of Middletown, DE, passed away at his residence on Monday, May 5, 2025.

On October 9, 1957, he was born in Chester, PA, and lived his life there until he met his loving wife of 40 years, Cynthia Turchen, and followed her to Delaware. It was there that he was a beloved father to Jennifer Foley and James Turchen, Jr., and his wife Rochelle; loving grandfather of Grayson, Izzabella, and Lorelei.

Jim laced up his boots for 39 years at the DuPont Experimental Station where he started as a pipefitter and eventually became a planner and scheduler until his retirement.

Jim loved to read, listen to music, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan of both the collegiate and professional teams.  On game days, he would often be found listening to the Eagles on the radio.
