Jane Roehm - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Jane Roehm

August 31, 1938 - May 22, 2026

Jane Roehm, age 87, of North Richland Hills, TX, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware on Aug 31, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Lucy Cookenmaster. Jane built a successful career in professional and administrative services throughout the 1960s and 70s. Of all her professional endeavors, she truly loved and thoroughly enjoyed her time working as a real estate agent. She often looked back on those years with great fondness, reflecting on the connections she made and the excitement of helping people find their homes.

While Jane took great pride in her professional career, her heart was always centered on her family. After raising her first children throughout the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, her true life’s dedication found a second chapter in the 1980s. She stepped away from the business world to pour her energy into raising her youngest son and her two cherished grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary defined by unconditional love, patience, and constant support.

Beyond her family, Jane had a deep affection for animals, always ensuring that any creature in her care was looked after with tenderness. In quieter moments, she was a talented seamstress who loved to sew, frequently recalling her time spent practicing the craft. Jane didn’t need a crowded room or material accolades to leave an impact; her life was beautifully measured by the family she raised, the animals she loved, and the quiet devotion she gave to the people who meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Roehm; her brother, Clyde Cookenmaster Jr.; her son, Robert A. Grier Jr.; her daughter, Anne Lester; and her granddaughter, Maria Grier. She is survived by her son, Teddy Roehm, and his wife, Jenny, of Fort Worth, TX; her daughter, Debra Baumes of Lynchburg, SC; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be held privately at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane’s name to Faithful Friends Animal Society, 165 Airport Rd, New Castle, DE 19720 or online by clicking here.
