Jennifer (Jen) Lois Ely

With great sadness we announce the passing of Jennifer (Jen) Lois Ely, 52, of Newark, Delaware, who departed this world on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Born on June 4, 1971, in Wilmington, Delaware. She was predeceased by her mother Virginia M. (Ginny) Ely and father Jasper Q. (Jack) Ely. Jen was a graduate of Christiana High School and followed on to attend Delaware Technical and Community College. For 28 years Jen worked as a dental assistant for Newark Dental where she was well respected by doctors and staff and loved by patients.

She loved animals, time at the beach, cooking, baking, gardening, Halloween and Christmas, But above all, Jen cherished the moments spent surrounded by her beloved family and friends.

Left to honor her memory are her loving sisters, Melissa Noble (Robert) and Pamela Cannatelli, alongside her nephews, Shawn Noble (Alyssa), Justin Noble (Evan), and her niece, Dana Cannatelli Smith (Kenneth). Her great nephews, Finn Smith, Benjamin Smith, and Anthony Noble, were the source of endless joy and laughter in her life.

Though Jen has departed this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her. Let us commemorate her legacy of love, laughter, and warmth, and find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
